4/10/2023 0 Comments Spirit of the north ending![]() Saturday 7th May saw a rare occassion these days when 30 bowlers took to the green in whites, as DBC took on Brockham in 5 mixed triple matches. But the friendly on rink 4 skipped by David gave our captain, Peter, the opportunity to say in his speech that if all rinks could be counted, then we would have won. The other two league rinks were always playing catch up, and in the end we narrowly lost on all league rinks. Rink 1 skipped by Graham enjoyed an early lead, but by end 10 this had been whittled way. Do you know how this is dealt with and how the points are decided? Answer at the end of this report. A tied end occurred in the 16th end, where the bowl from both sides was in contact with the jack. ![]() There were some moments of drama on rink 3, captained by Peter. The match was competitive but friendly, and by the laughter coming from the rinks, all enjoyed getting back on the green, which certainly played very well. Follow the tunnel+path.Sunday May 1st saw the first competitive match of the season and was played at Redhill in the mixed triples North Downs League. When you near, she will jump off, and trot along a tunnel to your left. On a ledge at the climax of the hill sits the Spirit. When the path breaks into a brook of water, swim or leap over it, then continue following the path. Jump from the ledge and continue the path you were originally following. Approach her and she will fly away again, directing you to somewhere else. When you reach the end of you path, jump onto the ledge the Spirit is on. The path will become stone, and a sharp turn will be in your way. When you near the boulder, break off the path and climb up the snow. Cross the small brook and follow the path to the boulder. The Spirit will awaken, and fly away, directing you to a large boulder. If you’re close enough, your camera will direct you the the Spirit, who is sleeping again. Your fox does not take damage and/or get hypothermia.) From here, swim to your right until you come onto land. You screen will show you another part of the area, and will reveal her flying in the air until she gently perches on a pile of stones. She will awaken, you fox will excite, and then she leaps of the ledge. This is the Guardian of the Northern Lights, and this is where you journey begins! Approach her and click O. When you pass the chimes, the screen will show you a sleeping fox-spirit. These are checkpoints, and you will see many of them throughout the game. On the way, you will pass under overhanging chimes. Follow the path until you find yourself in a wide cavern. This will reawaken the Shaman Spirit, the Shaman will disintegrate after thanking you, and the path will be opened. When you’re are beside the Shaman, click O again to drop the rod. You will notice the closer you get to the Shaman, the crystal on the light begins to glow. When you near it click O (PS4) to retrieve it. ![]() Following it, you will find yourself in a small cavern. The right side is blocked by rocks, and lying in front of it is a skeleton with a robe. As you enter the cave, continue to follow the path. You are encouraged to head towards the cave. If you look closely enough, you will see a cave in the distance. After you do this,another cutscene will arrive, showing you a beautiful, snowy landscape. After a few moments of watching the cutscene, you will be encouraged to walk towards a hill and stand beside a pile of rocks. The Ted Fox, (you) is running through the snow, following a red trail in the sky. When you enter the game for the first time, you will be met with a cutscene. ![]()
